I began to paint ceramics as a way to both unplug from the chaos of life and feel connected to my mom who died from cancer at the age of 54. The pieces she painted are my most treasured possessions.

Additionally, our daughter Betty has Down Syndrome. My husband and I have always dreamed of creating something that she can work, lead and thrive in as she enters adulthood. So as my love for the art grew, my husband and I began to steer toward the possibility of creating our own studio using Betty as our compass.
